Who we are

BrainFlow was officially founded in Oakland, California in August, 2023 by high school junior Noah Jayne.

After various leadership experiences as a Youth Ambassador for JFCS East Bay, leadership council for his synagogue, and positions in student government, Noah realized that he wanted to pave his own path and make an impact. He decided to pair this with a newfound interest in neuroscience, which led him to attend Brown’s Pre-College Program and take a class on Genetics, Epigenetics, and Human Behaviour. Additionally, Noah is a researcher at the Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine.

All of this led him to create BrainFlow, a research study that hopes to support high schoolers to reduce their test anxiety by optimizing their cognitive function. Noah began data collection at his school, and collected over 620 responses in his surveys. Utilizing this data, Noah created BrainFlow, a comprehensive app designed to help high school students optimize their cognitive function and reduce their test anxiety by providing personalized study schedules and tools for mental wellness. By integrating various features such as calendar scheduling, study plans, self-care tracking, and music for relaxation and motivation, BrainFlow aims to improve students' test performance and overall well-being.
